1. Introduction1.1 Brief history of CompanyShah Alloys Ltd.- SAL - is the 2nd largest steel alloys manufacturer and exporter in the country. It started from a modest beginning of 15000 T per annum in 1990 and now produces more than 3 lakh MT per year of carbon steel and stainless steel products. Our turn over is over Rs.1200 crores and we employ more than 1600 personnel in all. SAL an ISO 9001 accredited company and is a leading producer of Stainless Steel in India. We manufacture a complete range of Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel products. Our wide spectrum of product basket sports Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel Hot Rolled Sheets, Coils, Plates, Slabs, Flat Bars, Round Bars and Angle Bars. SAL has the distinct honor of being the only company in India, which manufactures Stainless Sheets / Coils up to 1800 mm width thereby providing Import Substitute to the country. The steel making technology is comparable to any other universal plant. The Arc Furnace produces carbon steel from captive sponge iron to any grade of finished steel. The induction furnace produces stainless steel from similar scrap after refining it in AOD converters.SAL is ISO: 9001 certified company and it has BIS license for IS2062 and it is in the process of IBR accreditation. It is also approved by RDSO for various Grades as per their Standard. Our products are regularly certified by Third Party Inspectors like TUV, LRS, BVQI, and SGS etc. Our major clients are Indian Railways, BHEL and SAIL.
